How does the dehumidifier/building dryer work
The sucked-in air flows past the evaporator. In the evaporator, the temperature of the air is lowered below the dew point. As a result, the moisture present in the air condenses into water droplets. The condensed water flows down through the fins of the evaporator and is discharged via the integrated condensate drain. The dehumidified air then passes through the condenser where it is reheated. The (re)heated and dry air passes through the compressor, cooling the compressor on the one hand and heating the air on the other, which benefits the drying process. The warm, dry air leaves the device at the rear and mixes with the remaining moist air in the room. This gradually lowers the relative humidity.
Transport
The dehumidifier/construction dryer can be transported upright or horizontally, but in a spring-loaded vehicle, i.e. not on an unsprung trailer. This dehumidifier/construction dryer may only be used at an angle on the bracket.
General
- Place the dehumidifier/construction dryer in the center of the room to be dried and keep all doors and windows closed. The ambient temperature should be between 0 and 40 degrees. The dehumidifier/building dryer also emits a small amount of heat, with the result that the temperature can rise in confined spaces. Make sure that the room temperature never exceeds 22/23 degrees because this can result in cracks in wet areas or new stucco.
- Place the water drain hose permanently in a collection tray/bucket and empty it regularly. Ideally, a closed container would be to prevent evaporation.
- The dehumidifier/construction dryer is equipped with a closed refrigeration system. When the air passes through the cold part of this system, the water vapor condenses into liquid water. At low ambient temperatures, the moisture can freeze into ice on the evaporator. To prevent this, the appliance is equipped with an automatic defrost function. This function switches on periodically to melt the ice, after which the meltwater is discharged through the condensation water, which is why the condensation water is not discharged continuously, but intermittently.
- Only use the building dryer at an angle to the bracket and therefore NOT upright, in rooms of at least 4 m2 and on a flat and solid surface.
- Do not cover the air openings and allow a clearance of at least 1 meter for the air inlet.
SPECIAL FEATURE:
This construction dehumidifier may also be used in rooms where the temperature is between 0°C and 22°C. However, below 0°C the unit will not operate, and above 22°C there is a risk of cracking in newly applied plasterwork.
